Feet of clay or just plain human

Though heroes fail us
The ideal they stand for stays
Don’t let them steal hope

It's hard when people you look up to fail in some way to live up to your image of them. Sometimes it's as though they betrayed you but think about it...did they betray you or just the unrealistic image you built up of them. Everyone is human and humans are fallible. That's not to say that your shouldn't look up to someone, just realize that they aren't ever gonna be perfect.
